The public ferry between Labuhan Lombok on the island's east coast and Poto Tano in west Sumbawa links Lombok with the rest of the West Nusa Tenggara archipelago.
Like the Padang Bai–Lembar crossing, this ferry carries foot passengers as well as motorbikes, cars, and trucks, and runs day and night at regular intervals.
From Poto Tano, overland connections continue east toward Sumbawa Besar, Bima, and the onward ferry crossing to Flores.
